Laceys was founded in 1860 and has expanded alongside the huge growth in the area.
Originally a traditional private client firm, Laceys has retained its private client practice but has also developed a thriving business practice.
We have expanded our expertise in contested probate actions, Inheritance Act claims, disputed wills, trusts and tax cases. Our more recent areas of expansion are employment, leasehold enfranchisement, mediation and construction. Laceys now has 28 solicitors, legal executives and assistants.
Laceys has been strengthened in recent years by solicitors joining from other firms. Harvey Reid with his firm Allin & Watts in 1999, Des Leyden in 2005, Tim Sharpley in 2008 and David Steele in 2010. These well known solicitors have added more specialist expertise and depth to the firm.
The firm's professional staff are divided into specialist teams, who appreciate that each client's needs are different and are flexible in their approach, providing advice that is practical, efficient and speedily delivered.
Laceys are authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Registered SRA number 53522.
