Lettings

Although there are now many private landlords, lettings have become more fraught with legal technicalities which cost a lot if you get it wrong. Recent examples are the rules to do with Houses in Multiple Occupation and the holding of tenants deposits.

We have a specialist team of fully qualified solicitors and legal executives who work closely with landlords and letting agents to guide you through.  Our expertise is recognised by us being one of the few firms to be recommended for this work in the Legal 500 independant guide to the legal profession.

We understand the need for rent and, if necessary, possession of the property to be recovered quickly and economically.

We can offer a quick and cost-effective service and in many cases can work on a fixed fee basis.

We are aware that there are firms who are not solicitors offering similar services who may seem to be cheaper. We suggest that you consider carefully the risks of using those who are unqualified and unregulated by any recognised professional body. If they get it wrong will they be insured for the substantial losses you could suffer? Do they even appreciate that, because of the risk for the public, it is usually against the law for non solicitors to be paid to conduct court cases for another person?

Mark Timberlake has great expertise in this area. Mark Timberlake was recognised in the Legal 500 as being one of the leading solicitors in the region fro property litigation. The Legal 500 says: “Mark Timberlake explains complex issues in understandable terms” and is “excellent in really difficult situation”.
