Laceys Solicitors named as Law Firm of the Year 2019

Laceys Solicitors were very proud to be crowned Law Firm of the Year (100 + employees) at the prestigious 2019 Dorset Legal Awards last week.
Jonathan Ogden, Senior Partner at Laceys, said: “I am very pleased that Laceys has been recognised by the judges as a premier law firm in Dorset through winning the Law Firm of the Year. The award is a reflection of the outstanding commitment of our lawyers and support staff in providing a first class service to all our clients. Well done everyone!”
Laceys are a forward-thinking growing firm, demonstrated in over 11% growth in staff in 2018. Laceys also has an impressive staff retention rate, reflected in over half of the current partners having joined the firm as graduate trainees.
Andrew Alder, from Saffrey Champness, who was the Sector Specialist Judge for the award, added: “The judges of the Large Law Firm of the Year category were looking for a firm which provides excellent client service, attracts and retains quality team members and achieves strong financial performance. Laceys provided evidence that all three criteria were comfortably met and scored above the other finalists, although it was a close competition. It was apparent that the firm has a strong identity and a culture which supports its team, rewarding commitment and initiative.”

Sam joined Laceys back in 2015 to help look after the marketing for the firm. Her role includes managing branding, website content, events, advertising and social media for Laceys.
Before joining Laceys Sam worked for over 10 years in several marketing agencies in London, managing client projects across different sectors, ranging from Coca Cola to the Department of Health. Having grown up in Poole herself, Sam and her family took the decision to move back to the South Coast a few years ago to bring up their young children.
Outside of work, Sam is a keen racquetball and tennis player and getting out on her bike to the Purbecks when time allows. She is also partial to a good glass of wine and dance when the opportunity arises!
