If you are facing the stress of a relationship breakdown you need a legal representative on your side who you can trust to provide sound, quality advice to get you through the experience as quickly and painlessly as possible.

We are confident Laceys family specialists deliver the service that best meets your situation, and here are the main reasons why.

You choose how to manage your separation

At Laceys we offer many different ways to resolve issues, from settlement out of court by discussion in mediation and collaborative law to legal negotiation and representation in court, and we will work with you to guide to the best route for your particular situation.

Our lawyers follow the Resolution Code of Practice

Promoting a constructive approach to family issues, we consider the needs of the whole family, in particular the best interests of children.

Our mediators follow the Family Mediator Association Code of Practice

Supporting those involved in family breakdown, with impartial advice to assist them to communicate better with one another and reach their own agreed and informed decisions concerning some, or all, of the issues relating to separation, divorce, children, finance or property by negotiation.

We offer Legal Aid

We can assess you to see if you , or your ex-partner, are eligible for Legal Aid which can help pay towards Family Mediation legal advice if you are unable to afford it and for assistance in cases of domestic abuse or child protection where social services are involved.

Quality and Accreditations

As well as having a wealth of experience behind them, our family lawyers are members of the Law Society’s  “Family Law “ and separate ‘Children Law” panels, an accreditation recognising our expertise and understanding to deal with sensitive and difficult issues.  Our mediators have special qualification for handling consultation with children in the course of mediation to allow the voice of the child to be heard by their parents if the child wishes this to be done.

Clients vouch for us!

Don’t just take our word for it. Here is what some of our existing clients say about us;

“In what was a very difficult situation, Kenneth gave both parties professional and unbiased advice and despite my reservations at the beginning we were able to meet a resolution.” Nikki Hale

“I was treated with respect and patience and listened to as to how I felt which enabled me to come to the right decision about my problem.” Jacqueline Hatch

“Jonathan Talbot explained the process and how things would proceed. He was very patient allowing us time to understand and adapt to our new situation. Legal language can be quite difficult to understand and he would explain what it meant and how it would impact.” Rae Fredrick

“Gemma was an absolute delight to work with. She was kind, patient and thorough, throughout the entire process addressing all concerns no matter how minute and clarifying all the details. We felt she truly cared about us.” Jenn Shaller
