About Us

Founded in 1860, Laceys solicitors has built a longstanding reputation, through trust, openness and results, for providing expert legal advice for many years.

We now have more than 100 staff, including 15 partners, allowing our clients to benefit from a great strength and depth of knowledge and expertise across all the varied areas of law we offer.

Although the firm’s professional staff work in specialist teams, they often collaborate on client projects that require different legal skills to achieve the desired outcome. Our teams appreciate that each client’s needs are different and are flexible in their approach, providing reliable, responsive and pragmatic legal advice to individuals and businesses, whatever their legal need.

Laceys are a forward-thinking growing firm, spending time developing and nurturing our talent for the future. This is reflected in over half of the current partners having joined the firm as graduate trainees. This trend continues through to our recent graduates, with over 80% of those who did their Training Contract at Laceys in the last 5 years choosing to remain at the firm working in the specialist area they have chosen.

We hold 5 Law Society accreditations in specific areas of law, providing a mark of expertise, as well as demonstrating our commitment to client care. This is the largest number of accreditations held by any law firm within the Bournemouth and Poole area.

We also feature in the Legal 500, the well respected clients guide to the best law firms, with 7 practice areas receiving recognition in the 2022 guide.
