Consumer Law

Whilst the law is designed to protect consumers, it can often be confusing. What are my rights? How do I enforce them? What do I do if a business fails to provide the services they promised me, or the goods I buy are faulty?

Also, it can often feel that the odds are in the favour of the businesses we deal with given that they often have greater resources to deal with any dispute and a better understanding of consumer law. This can leave consumers feeling intimidated.

We are here to take the confusion out of consumer law. We can help you understand the implications of signing up to important agreements such as hire purchase agreements before you sign the dotted line, allowing you to decide whether or not to enter into the contract as it is currently written (or at all).

We also deal with consumer complaints and disputes. We are able to set out your options and the steps that you can take to enforce any rights that you might have under consumer law. We can also help work with third party bodies (such as Trading Standards and various Ombudsmen) to address the issues that you have.

We communicate in a way that is not only easy to understand but also addresses your particular concerns. Our lawyers are straight talking and practical as well as knowledgeable, and we take the time to understand your needs.

For further advice on any consumer complaint or dispute you have, please contact Charlotte today to see how we can help.
